A craving for onion rings drove my first visit. How could I have lived in the area and missed this long standing gem of all American burger, fry, chicken/fish baskets, corn dogs and milk shakes. The onion rings were hot crisp and naturally sweet onion - with an ample quantity to share. Can't wait to return to try the rest of the menu.

I absolutely love Broiler Bay! The food here is consistently outstanding, perfectly made every time. Their Philly cheesesteak, fried zucchini, and onions are my go-to favorites, but the burgers and fries are just as incredible. The atmosphere is laid-back, the people are friendly, and the service is impressively quick. It's my must-visit spot whenever I'm in Bellevue! Highly recommend!

When you think of a local burger joint. This is the place! Broiler Bay is a great spot to get a good simple burger. They are consistent and delicious. Take your time getting your food, this place makes sure everything comes out perfect and that takes time! Plus, they usually have a wait when you get there. So expect about 15 minutes or so to get your food (which is really not a bad wait at all!). I usually get the pastrami burger and add mushrooms and my partner just likes a simple cheeseburger. You can't go wrong with the fries or onion rings, but I genuinely love their zucchini fries! The milkshakes are good but will melt before you get your burger, so either have them wait to make it or drink up first! The burger prices at their base are fairly priced but come as a standalone item. Your pricing can go up if you want to add items or sides to your burger. They have plenty of seating inside and outside. Lastly, bring cash! Tipping is not available on card, do forget to tip your establishments! Enjoy and Happy Eating!

I love that Broiler Bay has resisted gentrification in downtown Bellevue. I sure miss their former site in Shoreline, now a Starbucks. I was down the street several blocks for a pop-up preorder pickup. Convenient detour with a free shared parking lot, a plus! Glad to visit to OG Broiler Bay before heading back across Lake Washington (6/30/24). An efficient team of four managed the line of customers for onsite and takeout orders. There's onsite indoor & covered outdoor seating, just as an fyi. Also, there's a pinball/gaming corner near the napkins/condiment stand. I savored my chocolate milkshake while stuck in traffic. Surprisingly, the bacon double cheeseburger was refrigerated once back home, halved & shared the next day. Omg, mega tasty! Yes, sure miss way back when Shoreline had a Broiler Bay.

TLDR: no frills, all American charbroiled hamburger shop is a gem in the ritzy downtown Bellevue. A burger, fries or onion rings (definitely recommended), and a drink will be less than $10. Indoor and outdoor seating area. Broiler Bay is far better than Burgermaster or Kidd Valley for the traditional, all American hamburger and fries. It's a full hamburger. Not some smashburger like at Burbs or Shake Shack that'll leave you hungry. You'll leave quite full with a delicious hamburger and their onion rings. Definitely get the onion rings. Super crispy, not heavily battered, and not overly greasy. The onions are super crispy. The hamburger can be made with cheddar or Swiss cheese, and they have a boatload of fancier options that are a dollar or two more. Four tables inside, many more outside under the cover. Lots of parking in the small strip mall.

Pros: The food and service Cons: A vit hard to get to Would you drive through an hour plus in rush hour traffic for a burger and onion rings? Because we sure did and it was totally worth it. This place is like an old school burger shop. Not a huge menu but big enough. The burgers are awesome. We also got lots of sides and all were good but the onion rings were maybe the best I've ever had. The staff was cool too. Counter ordering and then seat yourself. There are some old school decorations.
